Summer Challenge #1
Can you believe it’s already the middle of June? This year is passing by so fast! My kids just finished up the school year last week. Summer is in full swing around here and I love it! With all the outdoor activities it’s such a great time to capture and preserve memories. I thought it would be fun to do a series of challenges this summer. Who’s up for it? Did I mention we have giveaways? We have some really cool giveaways lined up from a few very talented Etsy designers. Let’s get started!
Summer Challenge #1 – Document your favorite summer treats
Summer foods are the best! What are your favorites? Maybe it’s the fresh berries you pick from a local farm… or maybe it’s ice cream from the ice cream truck… or maybe your kids live on Freeze Pops like mine do! Whatever it is, grab a quick shot then create a layout with it using Coolibah.
Here are a few ideas to help get you started:
- Take a photo of the treats only.
- Take a photo of your family or friends enjoying the treats.
- Take photos of each family member or friend enjoying a different treat. Add all the photos to one layout.
Of course, you can use your creativity and come up with anything you’d like. The above are only suggestions.
How to enter:
Once you complete your layout, upload it to our Flickr group. Please make a note in the description or comments section stating “Summer Challenge #1″ so I know it’s an entry.
There is a free Flickr app but it does not have the capability to add your photos to a group. I’d suggest visiting the Flickr website using Safari. Or, you can use a really cool free app called Darkslide that will allow you to upload to a flickr group directly from your iPhone or iPad. I’ve tested it out and it’s really easy to use.
Rules:
Enter as many times as you’d like. All entries must be posted in our Flickr group and clearly labeled (in the description or comments section) “Summer Challenge #1″. All entries must be posted by 11:59pm EST on June 30, 2011. The winner of the challenge will be selected by a random drawing. The winner will be announced on July 1st, 2011.
